Login to your agoda account at https://ycs4.agoda.com.

Make a note of your agoda hotel code which will be towards the top right of each page (immediately left of your property name) as this will be required for step 16 below.

Go into the Settings tab and select Room Settings. Here you must ensure that the occupancy for your rooms match what is being sent from your iBex account.

Since agoda’s occupancy settings are set differently, we recommend that you refer to the table at the bottom (Important notes) section about the connection.

Save any changes that you have made.

From left menu select Sales Channels > Add a sales Channel

At the pop up window titled ‘New Sales Channel’ click the button Register Available Sales Channel

Enter 'agoda' into search field at top right of window and press enter on your keyboard.

If this is the first and only connection to Agoda click the green plus icon adjacent to Agoda (see above example).

If this is an additional connection select Agoda (Connection 2) or Agoda (Connection 3) as appropriate.

At Rules section:
  • select what Selling Group you want agoda to be registered to (click here for more information about selling groups)

  • select the Rate Modifier that you want agoda to use – Rate 1 will typically be same as you sell at, other options will be a % increase or discount (click here for more information about Rate Modifiers).

  • Agoda bookings are retrieved with Net rates. We recommend to leave the Commission field blank.

Click Register Sales Channel button.

Once saved, you will progress from the Details tab to the Channel Mapping tab where you can set email settings within iBex for Agoda.We recommend the settings are set as below although a full explanation of options are advised in steps 13 to 15.

The email that you enter in the iBex Notification Emails To field will be notified if there are any errors with the connection.

It is recommended that you enter your reservations email address so that if there is a fault with the connection, you will be made aware and can update the mapping accordingly if necessary.

 iBex Email on New Booking – This governs who will receive an automated email from iBex when a new booking is made.

It is recommended that they are set as follows:

  • Block Operator – not checked.

  • Block Property – If you are a single property account – checked (as since your property email address is most likely the same as your operator email address, you would receive a duplicate email).
    If you are multi property account – not checked (so that the appropriate property receives the email notifications as well as the operator).

  • Block Customer – checked (as they receive one directly from agoda).

iBex Booking Email Rule – This governs whether or not iBex sends the usual automated emails to the not checked options above (for example, when there is a change or cancellation to the booking).

It is recommended that it is set to ‘Do not send emails’ (as agoda sends any subsequent emails about amendments, cancellations of the booking).

At Channel Property ID enter your your agoda Property ID (as obtained in step 3).

Complete each room mapping row as follows:

  • Remote Room ID - enter room codes supplied by AA Travel

  • Rate Name - Select as required

To map any iBex room type to further room types at AA Travel (NZ) (eg. for differing minimum stays/rates - see notes at bottom of this page) click '+'

Set Allocation Handling field as required (we recommend Total per Room).

This is only relevant if you will be mapping a single room type from iBex to multiple room types at agoda (eg. for length of stay price variations, etc).

Set agoda Pricing Model field according to your Agoda account.

Most agoda accounts are set up on the Full Occupancy model as default but if you are unsure, you must contact agoda support to confirm.

Room and rate mapping will now be set - refer sample screen image below.

Once the screen has refreshed, the 2 systems have linked so you can now map the rooms and rates that you want to sell through Agoda with your rooms and rates in your iBex account.

Complete each room mapping row as follows:

  • Channel Room ID – enter Room ID as supplied by AA Travel (refer step 1).

  • iBex Rate Name – select as required.

  • Channel Rate ID – enter Rate ID as supplied by AA Travel (refer step 1).

Click ‘+‘ to map any iBex room type to further room types at Agoda or the second ‘+’ to map any iBex rate to a second Agoda rate for the same room type. See image below for an example where the Double room has 2 different rates being sent from iBex.

Click Save button

 Click Save & Update Channel button.


iBex will now notify you that there is 1 queued update (just above the Save & Update Channel button).

Wait a few minutes and once the queued update notification has gone, click View Log button.


If the Remote Service Log Viewer indicates queued updates are pending, wait a further few minutes and click the 'Refresh' button.

You must now advise agoda that you have successfully uploaded rates & availability from the iBex channel manager so that they can check your account and then make your agoda account live for automated bookings.

  • iBex supports up to 3 connections to agoda from a single property.
  • Agoda announced their new ePass payment platform September 2018. This new platform allows properties to batch payments, saving properties time spent  processing individual credit card transactions. This also means credit card details will no longer be sent via API. Because multiple credit card payments can be processed in single transactions the batch payment system has greater security benefits and will save properties money in credit card processing fees. The downside to ePass lies in the fact that properties will now have to log in to the Agoda extranet to access virtual credit card details. Agoda have advised us to direct all ePass inquiries to their Property Partner Help Center.
